2021.09.16 20:06 theinvigorator Fair setup for the price?
I know prices have been jacked up lately. I have been able to find the following parts for just around $950 before tax. Looks like a fair price or should I wait longer for prices to hopefully go down?

2021.09.16 20:06 meeshymama Our counselor is on a power trip
… & he fucked us over this year big time. I have to complain about this to people who can understand my frustration with this year because when I try to say this to my family, they just don’t get it.
I’m on my second week of school, and I have cried every. single. day.
For some background info, our counselor approached us last year about having a low scoring ELA class. We weren’t thrilled, but we came to the agreement that the teachers would make the lists, and it would be students who are academically low, but would work. No behavior issues, just the ones who truly would appreciate the help.
My teaching partner and I sat down for two days and carefully made a list for 8th grade, just as the 6th grade team did for us. We didn’t look at just NWEA scores, we looked as class writings and everything else.
We are also team teaching. Long story short, 6th grade provided a list of 24 kids for this “low class.” I have 51 between two classes. Our counselor pretty much just took the lowest NWEA scores and threw them all in the class.
So not only that, but my team now as all of the behavior issues. The other team has amazing kids and they talk every day about how great their group is. My team has all behavior problems (I barely got through what I was supposed to teach today because I was correcting behaviors). I’m drowning, our social studies teacher is frustrated every day, and our math teacher is at the same levels.
I’m just so annoyed with this whole scenario. It’s week two and I’m already burned out, and I hate it.

2021.09.16 20:06 HepRob Full time students (especially engineering students), how much out-of-class time do you need for your coursework? And are you happy with your grades?
Freshman, softies, juniors, seniors, come one, come all. Because I'm sure the workload varies per year. If it varies per day, please detail how. How much time do you need on Monday? Tuesday? Saturday? Sunday?
My struggle to figure out a plan for completing a 4 year degree while covering all my living expenses continues. I have no parental contribution, nor tens of thousands of dollars in college money "saved up." But students and advisors alike insist I can't work, not full time anyway. Lest my grades suffer. So I figure as long as I can commit whatever time is necessary to maintain a solid GPA, I can use the remaining time to work/sleep. If that leaves enough time to earn the money I need.

2021.09.16 20:06 AndrewWilsonnn Any Tools or Mods that mimic CorelDraw's Transparency tool?
I made the switch from CorelDraw to Illustrator for work (advertising/print) a few years ago, and probably the only thing I miss about CorelDraw is its built in Transparency tool. I used it quite often to good effect, because it was quick, simple, and you could achieve good effects with it as long as you didn't overuse it.
With the switch to Illustrator, I find myself using the technique way less, because making a gradient transparency mask and adjusting it, while easy, is a way more convoluted and often finnicky process. I'd love if there were some sort of addon or something that I could just select an image, and fade it to transparency, no masks, no hassle.
Anything like that exist that yall know of? Or am I forever doomed to hate making annoying gradient masks?

2021.09.16 20:06 Cantgetfooledagain1 Keep De-SPAC Momentum Going | $LIDR (Deleted WSB post from earlier today)
LIDR is actually an interesting company, with minimal downside (trades at low $7 at the moment).
LIDR has an 84.5% redemption rate as shown here. OI in the option chain is ridiculous compared to the float.
After redemptions, LIDR's new float is ~3.64m. At $12.50, about 1.15m 9/17 and 740k 10/15 worth of LIDR shares are in the money.
With some volume, the price action will for sure surprise everyone.
Edit (Positions): Please see link. I’m on 1:1 margin and my plays haven’t been doing well for the past several weeks, so I went with shares. But IV on options is relatively low - https://imgur.com/WVtERWN
Edit (DD): I am hoping to improve this DD after market close, wanted to share it asap therefore added only high level info. Sorry for the brief notes will be populated over time!
Edit (WSB): Around 30 minutes ago, my original post on WSB was taken down. I genuinely am not trying to pump to dump this stock. I am still in and planning to be in for a while - will update you if I ever sell. Reached out to WSB mods, and am hoping they change their minds. Learned a lot from that sub over the years, so no hard feelings.

Per their presentation, long term CAGR is very high, but short term (2021-2024) is absolutely achievable based on their current partners. I will share my math here, but I would hold this company long term, and would consider selling only if it hits some ridiculous ($100+/share price) in the short term.
